Bankside Urban Forest is supported by Better Bankside BID, an independent, business-owned and led company, that seeks to improve a given location for commercial activity. The members are 460 companies in the BID area who pan an annual ‘levy’. They aim to make Bankside a better place to live, work and visit by enhancing public spaces in the Bankside area, including streets, pavements, squares and parks.
It supports an imaginative set of projects and actions to bring new life and uses to the outdoor spaces of Bankside. These projects include the planting of fig trees, and the Union Street Urban Orchard.
